Bra Sizing Guide
Understanding Bra Sizes
Did you know that choosing the right size bra for your unique curves and silhouette is a key factor in overall bra comfort?
As humans, we tend to be creatures of habit, and if habit dictates that you are, for instance, a 34B, then you may still be purchasing bras in the 34B size, regardless of how many years have gone by since you thought about bra fit and body measurements.
A properly fitting bra is based upon two key factors: overbust size and underbust size. Use this bra sizing guide to find the right size for your current measurements.
How to Measure Your Bra Size
Find your most comfortable, well-fitting bra and put it on. Grab flexible measuring tape and follow these easy steps for getting an accurate bra size.
Step 1. Measure the band size or underbust. Wrap the tape around your rib cage, placing it directly under your bust. Round up to the nearest whole number. Jot down the number of inches. Add four inches to this number. If your results are an odd number, round that number up to the next whole number.
Step 2. Now, it’s time to measure the fullest part of your bust. This is called the cup size/overbust. Securely (not tightly) wrap the tape evenly across that part of your breast with the tape ends meeting at one nipple. Jot down the number of inches.
Step 3. Subtract the band size measurement (step 1) from the cup size measurement (step 2) to come up with the difference for those two measurements. Use the difference to find your cup size on the USA/CA cup/band chart below.
Example: 40 cup – 38 band = 2 inches
